The Faculty of Oral and Dental Medicine is one of Al-Nahda University faculties, which plays a vital role in university medical education and oral and dental health care in Upper Egypt since its establishment in 2007.
The Faculty consists of two buildings located on the university campus in Beni Suef, one of the Dentistry Teaching Hospital, one of the largest Dentistry Teaching Hospitals in the Arab Republic of Egypt.
Through its educational curricula that are compatible with the Egyptian standards for university medical education, the Faculty offers a competitive level of high quality in theoretical study and the clinical and preclinical study stages. It also provides distinguished practical training for its students under the supervision of a group of outstanding faculty staff, either recruited or loaned from the best Egyptian universities.
And we are currently studying in the Faculty about 1100 students in the five academic years.
Immediately after the graduation of the first batch of students in 2012, an internship program was launched, which qualifies the Medical doctors enrolled in it to obtain a license to practice the profession and membership in the Egyptian Dental Association 200 students have benefited from it so far. The teaching hospital consists of 4 leading clinics and economical treatment clinics. It includes 200 dental chairs and is equipped with the latest sterilization and diagnostic devices and the fixtures laboratory, classrooms, and training rooms.
The hospital provides curative and preventive services free of charge to Beni Suef Governorate and Upper Egypt citizens. About 35,000 patients have benefited from its treatment services since the teaching hospital was opened in 2010.
And to complement the Faculty's pioneering role in the educational field and community service, the Faculty seeks to exchange experiences with its counterparts from Egyptian and international universities by concluding several conventions for specialized training and student exchange, improving medical services provided to the public, and developing the educational process at the university, thus providing a role model in the field of higher education, health care and community service.
